Privacy Policy

Last updated October 25, 2026. This page explains what Grace in the Park collects and why. We keep it to the minimum we need to run the site.

What you send us

When you create an account we store your email address, your password (encrypted by our database provider, Supabase; we never see it), the display name you choose, the date you agreed to the community guidelines, and your email preference. When you take part we store your votes, written answers, replies, reports and question suggestions. Contact form messages are stored so our team can read and answer them.

Your display name is shown publicly next to your replies. Your email address is never shown to other visitors or members.

Emails about new questions

At sign-up you can choose “Email me when a new question is posted.” It is off unless you tick it. You can turn it on or off at any time on the Members page. We use your email only for your account (for example confirming it or resetting your password) and, if you opt in, for new-question emails. We don’t sell or share it.

Anonymous visit counts

To understand how many people visit and how they find us, each page view records:

  • a random visitor ID that your browser creates and keeps in its local storage (it is not linked to your account, name or email),
  • the page path (for example /questions.html),
  • the website that sent you, as a domain name only (for example google.com), and
  • the date and time.

We do not record your IP address, use cookies for this, or use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Only our staff can see the totals. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal we don’t record your visits at all. You can also clear the visitor ID any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Moderation

Every member reply and suggestion is reviewed before it appears. If you report a comment, the report and your reason are visible only to our moderators.

Deleting your data

To delete your account or ask what we hold about you, contact us and we’ll take care of it.
