Grace in the Park began as a Christian ministry.
For years, we taught and served from a Christian perspective.
Then our founder began asking questions he could no longer ignore.
Being around people with different religions and beliefs forced him to confront something uncomfortable:
How can anyone be certain their beliefs are right and everyone else’s are wrong?
Those questions changed his personal beliefs—and eventually helped inspire a new direction for Grace in the Park.
Along the way, we realized something simple:
We don’t have to convert someone to learn from them.
Today, Grace in the Park is an open platform for people with different beliefs and perspectives to question, discuss, disagree, and learn from one another.
Explore. Don’t Convert.
This wasn’t a marketing decision.
It was personal.
Grace in the Park’s founder, Dwayne Bennett Sr., began questioning beliefs he had once preached. His personal journey eventually led him to an agnostic perspective.
Our founder has a perspective. You’re not required to share it.
Rather than hide that journey, we’re sharing it.
From prison, Dwayne recorded a four-part conversation about questioning Christianity, changing his mind, uncertainty, and why Grace in the Park is becoming something different.

Bring your beliefs.
Bring your questions.
Bring your perspective.
And give others the freedom to do the same.
